Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box first passes through the site’s report-builder page in the browser and is then sent to the outside company operating the tool. The values may appear in the report-builder URL and in standard technical logs. We do not use them to build a criminal-record database or a profile about the person searched. The outside provider processes the query under its own policy.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically receive basic technical and usage details, including:
- Page-view dates and times

- Visited pages and time spent on them
- A referring website, when one is supplied

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Hale County Criminal History does not build, keep, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general routing information for Hale County offices, Texas DPS, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or criminal-history files about other people. Official government access is controlled by laws that include the Texas Public Information Act and the criminal-history dissemination rules in Government Code Chapter 411.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms govern a submitted query, including retention and sharing practices that we do not control. Review the provider’s policy before entering information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Hale County offices, Texas agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal details.
